Greg Mosner - Guitar and Mandolin
Greg Mosner, a native of St. Paul Minnesota. At age ten it was discovered that
he scored high on the music portion of the SRA tests given at the Catholic
grade school he attended.
He was offered a chance to take either piano or guitar lessons. The choice was
simple, and a $15 dollar Kingston guitar was soon after purchased. He soon
after began taking a weekly half-hour guitar lesson from Sister Reginald at
the Convent.
As the years progressed, with fame and fortune just on the horizon, he paid
his dues by playing countless VFW's, American Legions and dive bars with
various variety bands in the metro area.
It wasn't until joining the Spring Heeled Jack band that Greg ever sensed any
real musical direction in his life. Finally, the future holds hope.
It should also be mentioned that in the late 90's along with best friend and
guitarist Kevin Brown, violinist Jim Plattes and drummer Ed Yost, a CD of
original instrumental rock music was made. This CD is aptly titled
'Mozification System - All Systems Go'. The clever name created by Brown as a
tribute to Mosner's nickname 'Moz'.
James Plattes - Violin
Jim Plattes: fiddle, violin, mandolin, harmonica A classically trained
violinist, Jim has played in numerous country and rock bands throughout his
career. His credits include The Chanhassen Dinner Theatre (Love Always, Patsy
Cline) The Old Log Theatre (Cotton Patch Gospel) The Guthrie Theatre and the
Ordway Theatre. He has toured with Olivia Newton-John and been a member of
The Daisy Dillman Band. He currently teaches violin, fiddle and mandolin at
The West Bank School of Music and The Homestead Pickin' Parlor. Jim has
released two CDs. "First Ray of Sunlight" (1997) and "In the Moment" (2005).

Mark Donovan - Bass, Vocals
Mark has been playing bass for most of his life but originally started with
the guitar at age ten. Growing up just outside of Des Moines, Iowa Mark's
family and neighbors would often get together to sing Irish and American folk
songs. Singing with the family was fun for Mark but he noticed that the older
boys in his neighborhood who could play guitar received most of the attention.
That is when Mark realized he wanted to play guitar and be famous. As a
somewhat average guitar player Mark soon found there was far too much
competition and he needed something else to pilot his way to fame.
And that's when it hit him, no one wanted to play bass and take it to the
extreme. "I'll become famous as a bass player".
Years later Mark traveled the states playing rock, jazz, blues, funk and
Americana Country but often missed the simpler times of hanging out with good
friends, a pint of Guinness and playing some Irish folk tunes. Nowadays this
is where you'll find Mark, at a small pub playing bass and singing. He happily
takes his many years of experience with the bass and gives a little twist to
the folk and Irish standards.
Kevin Brown - Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals
A self-taught guitarist from St. Paul. He has an ongoing enthusiasm for celtic music
sparked by watching The Irish Brigade at the Half Time Rec in the 90's. Kevin has
played in various bands through the years. From Irish to alt-country to instrumental
and original music projects. Some of these include: The Go-Devils,
The Mozification System, Charley Dush and Nashville singer / songwriter Mary Danna.
